I view Web 2.0 and SOA as overlapping technologies.

Also in reporting on the presentation, Flock said, “Web 2.0 has made it much easier for consumers to find trusted sources of information quickly and to use that information to better their health and the care they receive.” This is a basic premise of Health 2.0, particularly of vertical search engines.

The more detailed article in PC World states “It will be up to device manufacturers to ensure that their products
are tamper-proof to avoid the possibility of false readings.” Certainly some strong service level agreements needed here.

“As a way to start building momentum behind the technology, IBM has contributed components of the project to the Open Health care Framework of the open-source development tools Eclipse Foundation community.”

Quotes from the article: “The good news is that we finally we have a software architecture and business model that can meet our growing need for agility” and “Web makeovers, go slowly on deploying these technologies, start with some basic skills on CSS or RSS before moving any deeper, understand what expertise you have in-house versus what you need to purchase, and examine whether your existing portfolio of Web applications needs to be updated with more modern and dynamic content tools.”
